What to do in the event of death
Your first steps depend on the place of death – this is how to proceed, and how Arimatea Nebulonghi funeral directors can support you.
At home
While waiting for the arrival of our staff, contact the family doctor so that he can meet you to fill in the required documentation to certify the death.
Keep the following to hand:
● Your loved one’s identity document (identity card or passport) and tax code (codice fiscale).
● Your own identity document (identity card or passport) and tax code (codice fiscale).
In a healthcare facility
No organisation or individual is permitted to recommend funeral directors without your explicit request; for funerals, it is illegal for funeral directors to procure customers within healthcare facilities (Regional Regulation 9 Nov 2004 on funeral and cemetery activities: articles 31 and 33).
If someone approaches you to offer the services of a funeral company or agency, they are breaking the law. Avoid them and, where appropriate, report the incident to the management of the healthcare facility.
Keep the following to hand:
● Your loved one’s identity document (identity card or passport) and tax code (codice fiscale).

In a public place
We will intervene to manage the required legal procedures and we will arrange the recovery of the deceased person and transport to the destination of your choice.
